My thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations.
– Augustus Waters
When you’re a teenager and in your early twenties it seems desperately eternal and excruciatingly painful. Whereas as you grow older, you realise that most things are excruciatingly painful and that is the human condition. Most of us continue to survive because we’re convinced that somewhere along the line, with grit and determination and perseverance, we will end up in some magical union with somebody. It’s a fallacy, of course, but it’s a form of religion. You have to believe. There is a light that never goes out and it’s called hope.–Morrissey
I’ve recently spent most of whatever spare time I’ve had left from doing my assignments and projects watching Queer as Folk, the only series that has left such an insanely lasting visceral impression. I’ve only seen the Brian and Justin Story, (courtesy of gatstvshows) on Youtube, though. Still waiting for my 5-season download to be complete. If you’re wondering, I’m as straight as a boner. Which only makes sense because I’m totally obsessed with begrudgingly straight Gale Harold, who plays Brian Kinney in QaF. I expect too much out of Gale. I’ve been googling the guy a million times over just to find out a little more about his personal life but there’s really nothing much on him. Maybe the guy’s too cool for paparazzi. Or boring? We’ll never know.
Anyway would someone please do a continuation of Queer as Folk? Ron Cowen? Daniel Lipman? Season 5 ended on such a sudden, stale note and I’m sure there’s a lot more the producers/writers could’ve done. There’s so much room left for plot development! Bring Gale Harold and Randy Harrison back. Queer as Folk 2012? Please?
